Corporate Gifts for Birthdays

Today is my birthday, so what better topic to discuss on this corporate gifts blog than corporate gifts in honor of employee and client birthdays? Giving gifts is a longtime tradition that goes along with birthday celebrations, though to have evolved from ancient beliefs about evil spirits becoming very strong on momentous occasions such as getting married, having children, and yep, turning one year older. By showering the birthday boy or girl with good wishes and gifts, it serves as a way to ward off these evil spirits. So help your employees and clients ward off their evil spirits – and I’m sure they will appreciate it for many more reasons.

Corporate Gifts for the Festival of Lights!

Today, at sundown, is the first night of Hanukkah for this year, and the perfect occasion to offer corporate gifts to employees and clients. The holiday commemorates the miracle that took place following the victory of the Maccabees over the Seleucid Empire. There was only enough oil to light the eternal flame that burned inside the temple for one day, however that small amount of oil lasted eight days, which was exactly how long it took to prepare more oil. In honor of this occasion, consider offering corporate gifts like a custom menorah that is used in the celebration of this miraculous occurrence.

Make Your Corporate Gifts More Personal With Choices

Many companies are opting to give employees a choice when it comes to corporate gifts for the holidays. For example, some may offer employees the option of a fleece jacket or a soft shell jacket, or a desktop charger versus a desktop organizer. This will benefit both the recipient and your company. Recipients will not only appreciate the choice, but by allowing them to pick their favorite corporate gifts you will most likely get more exposure for your brand because the recipient will be more likely to wear or use the product that fits their personal wants and needs.

Personalize Your Corporate Gifts

During the holiday season, companies are most likely going to be getting tons of corporate gifts as appreciation for their business throughout the year. Thus, you need to make sure that your corporate gifts stand out from the others. One way to do this is to personalize them. For example, if you are giving out custom photo frames. Why not include a picture of your company holding a sign that says thank you inside of the frame? Recipients will be sure to appreciate that small act of personalization – and moreover, remember your gift, and your company, among the others.

Inspire Friendly Competition With Corporate Gifts

One way to make sure that your employee productivity is maintained at a maximum level is to hold company contests that reward workers for their hard efforts. Corporate gifts like acrylic awards, engraved with winners’ names make great prizes for such contests, as they have a perceived high value that is sure to match the efforts of the participants in the contests. Just make sure that you analyze the overall atmosphere in the workplace to make sure that it is not getting too cut-throat as a result of these challenges. You can consider giving corporate gifts to runners up to ensure that all great efforts get rewarded.

Cameras as Corporate Gifts

Continuing on the same topic from yesterday’s blog, I thought I would share one more of the best corporate gifts received by top entrepreneurs as published by Inc.com. Mark Dwight, the founder of Rickshaw Bags talks of his Fujifilm Instax MINI 7S as his favorite present this year. “My colleagues at Rickshaw discovered the Instax when it was available only in Japan and gave it to me as a gift…The camera is great for taking instant photos at meetings, so you can remember names and faces.” Any type of camera, whether it be the Fujifilm Instax MINI, or a simpler digital camera, are great ideas for corporate gifts.

Corporate Gifts for Flying CEOs

Inc.com recently interviewed top business owners to find out what were their favorite corporate gifts they had received this year. David Koretz, the founder and CEO of BlueTie, a business e-mail service said his favorite gift was Bose Noise Canceling Headphones. "I fly three to four days a week, and what you find is that the noise from the plane creates a lot of fatigue. You want to be alert and ready to go when you get off the plane, and with these headphones on… you don't hear the constant engine noise." If the Bose ones are a little out of your price range you can find less pricy ones in the promotional products market that would make perfect corporate gifts.
